RETURNS, EXCHANGES & STORE CREDIT POLICY

8ATE is committed to maintaining fair, transparent, and structured exchange procedures while protecting the integrity of limited-run garments and production operations.

EXCHANGE WINDOW

Customers may request an exchange within 14 days of receiving their order.

Requests submitted after this period may not qualify for exchange or store credit.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for an exchange or store credit, items must:

  • be unworn

  • be unused

  • remain unwashed

  • include original tags and packaging

  • show no signs of damage, odor, stains, alteration, or misuse

8ATE reserves the right to decline exchanges that do not meet these conditions.

NON-EXCHANGEABLE ITEMS

The following items are generally not eligible for exchanges or store credit:

  • sale items

  • promotional items

  • gifted items

  • worn or damaged garments

  • items returned outside the approved exchange period

However, customers retain rights under applicable South African consumer protection legislation in cases involving defective or incorrectly supplied products.

PREORDER ITEMS

Preorder garments may qualify for:

  • size exchanges

  • approved exchanges

  • store credit

Due to the nature of limited production cycles and manufacturing allocation, refund requests for preorder items may be restricted once production has commenced.

STORE CREDIT

Approved store credit:

  • remains valid for 6 months from issue date

  • is non-transferable

  • may not be redeemed for cash

RETURN SHIPPING

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:

  • the incorrect item was supplied

  • the item is materially defective

We strongly recommend using tracked shipping methods for returns.

MANUFACTURING & PRODUCT VARIATION DISCLAIMER

Due to garment dye processes, printing methods, monitor calibration, lighting conditions, and production variables, slight variations may occur, including:

  • color differences

  • print placement variation

  • minor sizing inconsistencies

These variations do not automatically qualify as defects.

8ATE works carefully to maintain consistency and garment quality across all production cycles.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

If a product arrives defective or materially incorrect, customers must contact 8ATE within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • order number

  • clear photographs

  • detailed issue description

All claims are subject to review before resolution approval.
